About this role
As part of the Business Support team, which support Consenting Services and Building Services, your role will be to provide a customer orientated and responsive approach to the delivery of business support services. The Business Support team is responsible for the administrative functions of resource and building consents, and land information memorandums. The role will focus on the Consenting Services functions – planning and resource consent applications supporting the planners, external consultants, customers and other entities.

As our ideal candidate you will have:

• relevant experience in administration

• demonstrated use of initiative
• efficiency and accuracy
• professionalism, multi-tasking ability and prioritising work
• ability to relate to all types of people
• experience using outlook, word, and excel
• excellent keyboard skills including speed and accuracy

Desirable

• Knowledge of, or familiarity with processes associated with legislation and/or the statutory processes related to the Local Government regulatory framework (such as: Building Act, Resource Management Act, Local Government Act
• If you have experience in administering planning and resource consent applications this would be an advantage, however full training will be provided
• You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, a good sense of humour and enjoy the rewards of working in a busy and demanding environment as an individual and as part of a dynamic team.
