Your mission at Epassi
As a Business Systems Integration Specialist, you will design, implement, and operate group-level data integrations that ensure reliable, consistent, and scalable data flows across business applications and platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role, working closely with business, other engineers, architects, data owners, and application owners to improve interoperability, data quality, and operational reliability across the group.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Design and implement integrations for group-level data flows between core business applications and product platforms
- Help evolve the integration operating model by maintaining clear documentation, reusable patterns, and an up-to-date integration catalogue to reduce duplication and improve long-term scalability
- Develop integrations using a mix of technologies such as iPaaS, SaaS native connectors, APIs, and event streams
- Apply enterprise integration patterns and best practices to ensure loose coupling, scalability, and resilience
- Ensure correct master data handling (source-of-truth alignment, synchronization, and consistency across systems)
- Implement data validation, error handling, monitoring, and logging for integrations
- Support data governance requirements such as data ownership, lineage, quality, and compliance
- Participate in the operational lifecycle of integrations: deployment, monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement
You’ll be successful in this role if you:
- Build integrations that scale with business growth, new applications, and future data use cases
- Deliver reliable and consistent data flows across group-level systems and platforms
- Increase speed of delivery by reusing integration standard patterns and ready-to-use connectors
- Improve data trust through correct master data handling and governance-aware implementations
- Reduce integration complexity and operational risk by adhering to enterprise standards
What you’ll be doing (daily):
- Working with stakeholders to understand integration needs and define data flow requirements
- Building and improving integrations between applications and platforms using agreed tools and patterns
- Implementing and refining validation, monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure operational stability
- Troubleshooting incidents and improving integrations through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Collaborating with data owners and application owners to ensure correct master data and governance practices
What you should bring:
- Relevant education in information systems management or a closely related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Extensive experience in a similar integration-focused engineering role
- A growth mindset and willingness to take increasing responsibility as the integration landscape evolves
Your track record:
- Proven experience delivering IT application integrations end-to-end (design → build → deploy → operate)
- Demonstrated ability to implement reliable integrations with strong operational practices (monitoring, logging, error handling)
- Experience improving standardization and reuse (patterns/connectors) to accelerate delivery and reduce complexity
Your competency profile:
- Analytical & structured approach: You break down complex integration problems into clear, workable solutions
- Collaboration: You work effectively with engineers, architects, and business/application stakeholders
- Ownership mindset: You take responsibility for integration quality and operational reliability
- Communication: You explain technical topics clearly and align stakeholders on requirements and decisions
- Adaptability: You can adjust priorities and methods in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Quality focus: You care about correctness (especially master data), stability, and long-term maintainability
Technical skills (what will help you thrive)
- Experience with different types of Integration formats and protocols, authentication mechanisms, data formats and standards and overall IAM practices
- Hands-on experience with iPaaS tools (Workato strongly preferred)
- Ability to work with development languages like Ruby, Python, Javascript and SQL.
- Familiarity with business applications such as HubSpot, Zendesk, and NetSuite (or similar) and knowledge how to connect enterprise systems
- Understanding of business process modelling and architecture diagrams (and willingness to learn)
- Relevant certifications/courses are a plus
