Business Transformation Specialist (6-month Contract)
ResolverResolver, a fast-growing SaaS company within the Kroll family, is seeking a Business Transformation Specialist for a six-month fixed-term contract in Toronto with a hybrid work setup. The role is hands-on and built for someone who enjoys digging into processes, questioning assumptions, and turning complexity into practical improvements. You’ll partner directly with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to understand how work happens today and design simpler, more effective ways of operating to deliver quicker, better outcomes for customers.
This is not about drafting a grand transformation plan. It’s about getting close to the work, delivering meaningful improvements, and helping teams sustain momentum after the engagement ends. A solid foundation in Lean or Six Sigma helps, and a practical sense for how AI, automation and technology can streamline workflows will set you up for success. If you’re comfortable working at pace and want to drive real change, this could be a great fit. The role is based in Toronto, CA, with a hybrid arrangement.
Resolver is a high-growth SaaS company whose no-code platform helps customers see risks clearly so they can act quickly. They’re part of Kroll, offering the stability of a big enterprise with a more collaborative, non-hierarchical culture. Resolver has been named one of Canada’s Great Places to Work for six years running.
Turning insights into improvements at Resolver
You’ll start by partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify the processes with the largest potential for impact, then you’ll get close to the work by talking to the people who do it and running collaborative workshops. You’ll map current-state workflows, tracking activities, handoffs, decision points, systems, bottlenecks and sources of rework, so you have a clear, practical baseline to measure where time, effort, quality or experience can be improved. With that understanding, you’ll apply structured problem-solving approaches, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to simplify workflows and align the organization around better ways of working. You’ll design pragmatic future-state processes that balance efficiency, scalability and user experience, and you’ll work with stakeholders to prioritise opportunities based on impact, effort, feasibility and speed to value. You’ll explore AI, automation and better use of existing technology to remove manual effort or improve decisions, working with business and technical partners to assess feasibility, dependencies and risks, and you’ll run small-scale experiments before broader rollouts. You’ll move quickly from discovery to action, setting clear accountability and implementation plans, navigating dependencies and removing roadblocks to maintain momentum. And you’ll coach teams on practical methods for process mapping and problem-solving, developing simple tools they can reuse, so progress continues after the contract ends.
Resolver expects measurable impact from the work, with early improvements tested or implemented and a realistic roadmap for additional changes. You’ll also help establish clear ownership for ongoing improvements and ensure there are practical ways to sustain them across teams.
Foundations for success
- Significant hands-on experience leading business process improvement, operational excellence, or transformation initiatives, ideally in a consulting or cross-functional business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to apply Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to diagnose challenges, redesign processes, and deliver real results; certification is helpful but practical delivery matters more.
- A proven track record of carrying initiatives from discovery through implementation, not just making recommendations.
- Strong skills in process mapping, workflow design, root-cause analysis, and facilitation.
- Practical knowledge of AI, automation and digital tools, plus the ability to identify relevant use cases and partner with technical teams to assess feasibility.
- Comfort working directly with senior leaders, including executives, and the ability to influence decisions without formal authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for simplifying complexity and keeping momentum.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage people across functions and levels.
- A coaching mindset and a genuine interest in helping others develop their own problem-solving and continuous-improvement capabilities.
- Comfort with a growing organization where processes and systems may be at different maturity levels.
- Bonus points if you have experience in a SaaS, technology, or other high-growth business.
- Experience combining management consulting with internal transformation or operational roles.

Tips for making your case
Lead with your hands-on transformation experience. In your resume, front-load evidence of initiatives you drove from discovery through implementation, especially where you partnered with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver tangible improvements.
Show how you translate insight into action. Describe a project where you identified a high-impact opportunity, ran a small-scale test or pilot, and demonstrated measurable outcomes before scaling.
Be ready to discuss influence without authority. Have concrete examples of how you’ve guided senior stakeholders and navigated dependencies to keep momentum and align on a path forward.
Ask a sharp, role-specific question. For example: how does Resolver plan to sustain improvements after the engagement ends, and what will the handoff to internal teams look like? You could also ask how they prioritise opportunities across departments and track value realization during this contract.
