Qantas is recruiting a Cabin Avionics Engineer for a permanent onsite role in Mascot to provide Continuing Airworthiness Management Services for cabin avionics across the fleet, working with a specialist engineering team to drive safety and reliability. The ideal candidate holds a professional engineering degree in Avionics, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics, with extensive experience in cabin interiors for Boeing or Airbus, knowledge of cabin products and vendors, and a strong grasp of CASR Part 21 and Part 42 (EASA/FAA knowledge desirable). You will manage maintenance programs, coordinate reliability initiatives, and translate complex technical information to stakeholders while meeting deadlines. As a Cabin Avionics Engineer, you will be working within the Technical Services Team responsible for providing Continuing Airworthiness Management Services to the Qantas Group airlines.
Working within a specialist team of Engineers and Technical Officers, you will ensure continual airworthiness support for cabin-related avionics systems across various aircraft fleets. This will involve management of the aircraft maintenance program, coordination of reliability initiatives and assessment of modifications that ensure the fleet continues to maintain the outstanding safety record of the organisation, improving fleet operational performance and optimising the cost of the asset.
You will be an expert in the relevant field and exercise a mature professional engineering judgment in a broad range of fields.
