We’re looking for Campaigns Assistant to support our dynamic and friendly campaigns teams, across our Food, Lifestyle and Entertainment (Spotlight) hubs.
About the team
Ebury is the UK’s largest dedicated non-fiction publisher. We are constantly discovering new talent, creating bestsellers, and growing author brands.
Ebury’s Food, Lifestyle and Spotlight hubs publish across cookery, home and interiors, gardening, autobiography, sport and pop culture. Our authors include Yotam Ottolenghi, Bored of Lunch, Mary Berry, Charlie Mackesy, Dolly Parton, Andy Serkis, Greg James, Ted the Dog and many more.
The role
This is an exciting first step into campaigns and the publishing industry, a great opportunity to experience many elements of the publishing process and to work on a wide range of books and projects.
Key responsibilities:
What you’ll bring
You’ll be interested in the areas we publish into, whether that’s making recipes from FoodTok or keeping on top of pop culture news. You’ll be enthusiastic about working on a range of projects and you’ll thrive working with lots of different teams of people. You will be interested in developing your career in communications and learning new skills to keep improving the way we work, and you’ll be motivated by keeping things running smoothly.
Essential criteria:
Disability Confident
If you have opted into our disability confident scheme, the above are the essential criteria you must meet to be considered for our interview scheme. Please note, there may be occasions where the volume of applicants means we can’t take all eligible candidates to interview.
Application instructions
Please apply with your CV and cover letter outlining why you are the right candidate for the role by 11:59pm on 3rd February 2026. As part of your covering letter, tell us about your favourite cookbook, influencer or celebrity and why you like it/them (in no more than 250 words).
Here at Penguin, we believe in the power of authenticity and human creativity. When you apply for a position, we want to encourage you to showcase your unique voice. Throughout our recruitment process, please share your own thoughts, experiences, and skills. This helps us get a true sense of who you are and what you might bring to our team.
We celebrate creativity and diverse perspectives, so please be yourself! While we recognise AI tools can be helpful, we recommend using them thoughtfully to ensure your responses reflect you.
Salary
£29,000 plus benefits.
Hybrid working
While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect the successful candidate to work from our London-based office a minimum of three days per week (including Tuesdays and Thursdays) and offer the remaining two days to be worked remotely.
