Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity Join Fonterra in a role where you’ll help bring our Compliance and Licence to Operate (LTO) learning initiatives to life. As a Capability Consultant – Compliance, you’ll support a mix of small to medium Health, Safety & Wellbeing and Food Safety and Quality learning projects and play a key part in larger programmes through strong facilitation, clear documentation, and great coordination. You’ll also help keep our core compliance processes running smoothly—from supporting the day to day management of our Compliance Learning Governance Framework to maintaining Compliance Matrices and working closely with our external learning vendors.
This role is all about setting our people up for success. You’ll work alongside stakeholders, senior consultants, and delivery teams to ensure initiatives are well planned, aligned to business needs, and built to deliver real impact. Your strong consulting, learning, and project enablement skills will help you thrive.
In addition, you will: 
  • Build strong relationships across the business and coordinate with design, delivery, and P&C teams to keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Lead scoping and facilitation for small–medium compliance and LTO initiatives, while supporting senior consultants on larger programmes.
  • Manage and review Compliance Matrices, ensuring NZQA alignment and staying on top of changes to Fonterra Standards.
  • Support the LTO and Compliance Learning Framework through review cycles, capability needs assessments, and project deployment.
  • Drive time  and cost saving improvements within compliance learning and governance processes.
  • Work with the CoE and external vendors to define success measures, gather insights, and maintain strong partnerships.

Mōu | About You
We’re looking for someone with a tertiary qualification in Education, Learning & Development, HR, or a related field, and ideally at least three years’ experience in learning, consulting, capability, or similar roles. 
You’ll bring confidence in coordinating or managing compliance or safety learning programmes, along with strong facilitation skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders. 
A solid understanding of adult learning principles and the basics of instructional design will help you thrive in this role, as will excellent communication skills—both written and verbal. Experience working in operational or technical environments is a bonus, but not essential.
