NMC Healthcare is seeking a full-time onsite Caregiver in Al Ain City to support the Registered Nursing Staff by delivering safe, timely patient care across departments. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, pediatric play, and therapy support while maintaining a clean, safe environment and clear communication with patients and families. Essential qualifications include a Nursing Assistant certification (minimum six months) or a nursing degree without a home country license, at least one year of healthcare experience, willingness to work across departments, and a valid American Heart Association BLS certificate, with strong English.   • Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nursing Staff, will deliver patient care and service which is safe and timely.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and escalate accordingly reflective of the chain of command.

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned within his/her scope and ability.

  • Support the escort of patients within the clinical setting.

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

  • Perform manual handling tasks, such as patient transfers and mobility, based on competency and experience.

  • Provide assistive care to tracheostomized patients under the direction of a registered nurse, ensuring proper training and updated competencies.

  • Engage in play activities with pediatric patients under the supervision and guidance of licensed nurses and therapists, where appropriate.

  • Monitor and promptly report any changes or concerns in patients’ conditions to licensed nursing staff.

  • Support patients during physical, occupational, or speech therapy sessions as directed by healthcare professionals.

  • Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and ensure a safe environment conducive to recovery.

  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, provide emotional support, and relay pertinent information to nursing staff.

  • Stock patient rooms with appropriate supplies and ensure medical equipment is cleaned and maintained as required.

  • Participate in patients' social activities to enhance their quality of life.

  • Assist patients and their families with housekeeping, laundry services, food preparation, and errands as needed.

  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and initiate assistance following established policies and procedures.

Contribute to performance improvement and continuous quality improvement initiatives within the healthcare setting.

Essential: the post holder must

  • Minimum qualification: Certification in Nursing Assistant (minimum 6-month course) or a Nursing graduate without a home country license.

  • One year working experience in a healthcare environment

  • Be willing to work across departments when necessary

  • Have a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider qualification

  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written)
