Job Description

CASUAL Computer-based exam Invigilator

Looking for bright, friendly and professional casual staff for computer-based English Language tests in the Perth CBD. All training will be provided. New staff ideally will be available for at least 3 exam sessions each fortnight. There is no fixed roster, although we do our best to provide regular sessions.

Session times are either 3.5 hrs or 3.75 hrs long:

Mon – Fri 8:30 am to 12:15 pm, 12:45 pm to 4:15 pm, 4:45 pm to 8:15 pm.

Sat: 7:45 am to 11:30 am, 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Qualifications

Essential criteria:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to adhere to test day regulations and procedures
  • Sound working knowledge of English
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of both test procedures and candidate information
  • Professional presentation
  • Sound customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of de-escalation techniques
  • Awareness and understanding of cultural issues
  • Competent computer skills
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Eligibility for Blue Card (Working with Children)

 

Desirable criteria:

  • Current or previous certification as Pearson TA and/or TOEFL iBT TCA
  • Experience as an invigilator or supervisor of formal exams
