Landmark Group seeks a Category Lead Decor in the UAE to lead sourcing, sales alignment, and data-driven buying across its omnichannel decor business. The role blends market intelligence, vendor selection, budget ownership, and in-season merchandising with a focus on GP health, OTB optimization, and cost reduction through market indexing. You’ll build data interfaces for buyers, partner cross-functionally, track category performance with scorecards, and shape long-term strategy with SWOT analyses and competitive benchmarking. 1-Sourcing & Sales alignment
Keep abreast of the latest trends in buying and assess realign the inventory and buying strategy
Identify and highlight opportunities to source products and to ensure that company maintains its competitive edge by constant data intelligence
Ensure effective communication, collation and follow-up on various product requirements and findings obtained from the sales/store data
Gather information from market insights and global data
2-Information Management
Develop an adequate data interface for the buyers to arrange periodic discussion and doable
Build and maintain relationships with interdepartmental communication basis data insights
Maintain contact with buyers; keeping ready reckoner of category analysis basis customer journey for them
Identify, evaluate and help select appropriate vendor for long term objectives basis data intelligence.
3-Buying Budget and Planning
Determine buying requirements and formulate buying plan and budget for the Company
Help to meet the profit targets by ensuring timely procurement and timeline analysis
Pursue cost reduction opportunity through indexing market cost.
4-Business Hygiene Management
Understanding of the OTB and work closely with buying team providing insight to use OTB effictively
Monitor sales and movements of the new launched products and trigger re-orders or to do-list for the buyers, ensuring GP health
Ensure financial hygiene check and sharing with buyers for corrective actions highlights
5- Business planning & Category Management
Develop comprehensive business plans that are consistent with the company's overall goals and strategies
Category SWOT analysis vis a vis competition and assess market opportunity for the Ecom and C&C category.
Monitor & review the performance of category business plans by using appropriate scorecard
Oversee the category management with the objective of maximizing sales and profits
Plan and approve the merchandising budget for the category
Discuss, decide and freeze the merchandise plans (pricing, promotion and assortment) and ensure effective in season management
