Goodstart Early Learning seeks a part-time Centre Cook for Goodstart Proserpine, onsite at 16 Keith Johns Drive, Proserpine. You will prepare delicious healthy meals for children, accommodate dietary needs and allergies, plan menus with the Centre Director, and maintain food safety standards. The 15-hour week role offers pay of $29.94 to $33.83 per hour plus benefits and super, with at least 5% above award; you’ll also enjoy a 50% childcare gap fee discount. As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care. 

In this role, you will:  

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies 

• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director 

• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic

You’ll need: 

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting 

• Current QLD Working with Children Check
