Ko wai mātou – About us

Kia ora.  We’re Foodies.  You know New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square right? That’s us! With more than 320 stores and over 27,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Māui, Foodstuffs North Island is a co-operative proudly owned by our Members. Our purpose is simple – making sure New Zealanders get more out of life, and we’re driven by our aspiration to be one of New Zealand’s most customer-driven and productive retailers.

Te Tūranga – About the role

The Employee Experience (EEx) Programme is our co-op-wide reset of how our people and payroll experience works; simpler, smarter, and designed for the moments that matter. We’re modernising systems and streamlining processes so it’s easier for our teams (stores, Distribution Centres (DC’s) and Support Centre) to get stuff done and focus on customers.

We are creating a new team dedicated to the successful delivery of this co-operative wide programme. As the Change Delivery Manager, this is a hands-on delivery role where you’ll be responsible for delivering practical change, communications, readiness and delivery activity.

This will support the successful adoption of new systems, behaviours and ways of working, which are pivotal in executing our strategic people plan to empower a high performing culture and build capability within our Co-op. You’ll partner closely with programme leaders and external partners to ensure change lands effectively in day-to-day operations, driving real adoption across frontline and support teams.

This role sits at the intersection of change and programme delivery. You will coordinate actions, risks, dependencies, readiness activities and adoption outcomes across multiple teams, ensuring programme plans translate into practical execution and successful operational outcomes. We are looking for someone who enjoys making things happen, not just designing plans.

Success in this role will be measured through adoption outcomes, business readiness, quality of programme execution, stakeholder engagement and the successful transition of capability into BAU operations.

Please note that this is a 24 month fixed term opportunity.

In this role, you will be:

  • Support and enable leaders to lead change, building capability and embedding new ways of working across teams and environments
  • Operate across complex, multi-site retail environments, ensuring consistent execution, stakeholder alignment, and adoption at scale (stores, DCs, support centre)
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery activity, including plans, milestones, timelines, risks, and dependencies to drive successful outcomes
  • Design and deliver targeted communications, engagement, and change network activities to support adoption and mobilisation across the co-op
  • Track readiness, adoption, and risk using data and insights, supporting training, go-live and transition into BAU operations

He kōrero mōu - About you

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working across both people and delivery.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-wide change in fast-paced transformation environments, driving adoption and outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across complex, multi-site environments, including frontline teams
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical, actionable delivery, balancing competing priorities with a hands-on approach
  • Strong communication and storytelling capability to create clarity, alignment, and drive action across diverse teams
  • Experience using data and insights to track readiness, adoption, and risk, and inform delivery decisions

We’re interested in your diverse experiences, your strengths, and how adaptable you are to learn and grow. If you don’t meet every requirement, but feel this role could be for you, we’d still love to hear from you.
