Join the YWCA of Winnipeg as a Child Care Supervisor, part of a two person Site Supervisor team overseeing a kindergarten and school age centre among 38 plus Y centres serving about 1,900 children yearly. You will lead staff, manage daily operations, develop engaging programs, and build strong relationships with children and families while upholding ELCC and Y standards. Ideal candidates hold Manitoba ECE Level 2 or 3, have supervisory experience with preschool and school age children, proven leadership and conflict resolution skills, solid admin ability, Emergency First Aid CPR C, and clear police checks. This position is part of a two person Site Supervisor team, leading a kindergarten and school age child care centre.

  • Able to manage the day to day operations/administration
  • Able to develop, lead and implement programs which meet children’s needs
  • Able to build positive relationships with children and families
  • Able to monitor and apply ELCC and the Y’s standards and requirements
  • Honest, trustworthy and respectful in your approach with children

What else do you need? 

  • Manitoba Early Childhood Educator Level 2 or 3
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Experience working with preschool and school age children
  • Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform administration duties and complete written documentation
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification
  • Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check
