Fulton Hogan seeks an experienced Civil Foreperson to join the Central Otago team in Alexandra on a permanent full-time basis. You will lead a 2 to 5 person crew to deliver safe, on time and on budget civil works, coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors and suppliers while keeping safety, quality and productivity front of mind. Requirements include 5+ years’ civil construction with proven site leadership, the ability to read plans and meet specifications, and a current Class 1 licence with WTR endorsement (Class 5 is advantageous or willing to work towards). Mō te tūranga | About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Civil Foreperson to join our Central Otago team in Alexandra on a full-time, permanent basis.
 
In this role, you’ll lead a crew of 2 to 5 people to deliver good work safely, on time, to budget, and to a high standard. You’ll coordinate day-to-day site activity across people, plant, subcontractors and suppliers, while keeping quality, productivity and safety front of mind. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who leads from the front, backs their team, and knows how to keep things moving.
 
Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities
  • Lead your crew to deliver safe, high-quality civil works on time and to budget.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors and suppliers across your work area.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors and the public.
  • Make sure work is completed efficiently and to the required plans and specifications.
  • Complete site documentation including timesheets, job sheets, pre-starts, plant records, quality checklists and hazard IDs.

  • At least 5 years’ civil construction experience, with proven experience leading site crews.
  • A strong understanding of civil construction principles and how they apply on the ground.
  • The ability to read and work from plans, and deliver to specification.
  • A current Class 1 licence, plus WTR endorsement; Class 5 is an advantage or something you’re willing to work towards.
  • Clear communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a strong focus on safety, quality and accountability.
