Job Description

At Hall's, we are looking for a reliable and flexible Class 5 Driver to join our team at our Napier depot, who can be the friendly face of our business and deliver chilled or frozen freight along with providing outstanding service for our customers. 

Delivering with Care

  • Conduct pre-trip safety and temperature checks.

  • Ensure safe loading, unloading, and secure deliveries.

  • Follow efficient routes and provide on-time service.

  • Complete accurate paperwork and report any issues.

Looking After Your Truck

  • Perform daily checks and report maintenance needs.

  • Drive safely and efficiently, using equipment properly.

  • Keep your truck clean and fuelled.

Great Customer Service

  • Communicate in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Represent Hall’s with pride

In this role you will see yourself delivering chilled & frozen food to businesses within the Hawkes Bay region, this will include manual lifting and hand unloads, checking temperature settings, ensuring accuracy of documentation and completing daily vehicle checks.

This position will require you to start at 6am, Tuesday through to Sunday for a Gisborne run. The weekly hours are approximately 50 - 60 hours per week. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you'll need:

  • A full & clean Class 5 license, with a minimum of 3+ years NZ Class 5 driving experience 

  • Experience driving truck & trailer, semis, and b-trains

  • Proficient in reversing units, coupling & uncoupling

  • Have a good geographical knowledge of the North Island. 

  • Have a working knowledge of EROAD & TruckMate

  • A self-motivated, can-do attitude
