NMC Healthcare is seeking a Clinic Support Assistant for a full-time onsite role in Abu Dhabi. The position focuses on receiving, attributing and rejecting samples, verifying patient demographics and test orders, and maintaining logs for re-collection and for samples from external facilities, plus tracking temperature records and dispatch; you will distribute samples within the lab, maintain cleanliness, and uphold OSH and infection control policies, participate in drills, hazard reporting, waste management, and safety procedures. Requirements include a graduate of a Secretarial Course or equivalent, minimum six months in a healthcare setting, excellent spoken and written English (Arabic desirable but not essential), and proficiency in Word and Excel. To receive, assert, reject samples and maintain adequate logs of the same.
3.1 To accept samples after having it identified with the patient demographics and test order.
3.2 Effectively follow sample rejection and re- collection then, maintaining logs of it.
3.3 For samples having from outside NMC facilities, temperature records & dispatch list to be maintained.
3.4 To distribute samples in different areas of laboratory.
3.5 Maintains work place and premise cleanliness.
3.6 Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to comply those requirements
3.7 Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities
3.8 Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
3.9 Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports
3.10 Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
3.11 Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
3.12 Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
4.1 Graduate of a Secretarial Course or its equivalent
4.2 Six months or more in healthcare set up
4.3 Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
4.4 Responsibility for own continued professional growth beyond minimum preparation.
4.5 Must be well versed with Word and Excel.
