Nutrien is seeking a Co‑op Electrical Engineer for 2026 2027 in Rocanville, SK, onsite and full time. You’ll review electrical distribution design, assist with maintenance planning, support arc flash modeling and PLC code changes, and perform in‑field troubleshooting and failure analysis. To succeed, you must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering undergrad with at least two years completed and plan to return to full‑time studies after the term, be available for 40 hours per week from September 2026 through August 2027, and show strong safety leadership; mining or heavy industrial experience is a plus. Highlight PLC, arc flash, and field work on your resume and prepare for a background check.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Review electrical distribution system design, and assist with electrical system maintenance, planning, and execution
  • Review and support arc flash model, provide PLC code design and modifications
  • Perform in-field task support, troubleshooting, and failure analysis

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
  • You are available to work 40 hours/week from September 2026 - August 2027
  • Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
  • Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience
