SGS Australia is offering casual, on-site Coal Technician roles in Tarong, QLD, within the Energy Minerals Division, ideal for hands-on professionals who enjoy a practical lab and field mix. You’ll collect coal samples from mechanical sampling systems and CHPP environments, log and analyze data, and report results with precision while operating manual and automated preparation equipment. You’ll plan shift workflows, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with analytical methods and Quality Systems. While coal sampling experience helps, a background in a mineral or coal lab plus solid Excel skills (CCLAS a plus) will set you apart.
