MiralMiral Experiences leads a family of immersive attractions across Abu Dhabi, running world-class destinations that entertain visitors from around the globe. Their portfolio spans flagship venues on Yas Island, including Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld Yas Island, CLYMB, Phenomena Abu Dhabi, and cultural sites like Qasr Al Watan. The Commis role sits within Farah’s Food and Beverage team, an onsite kitchen position that supports a fast-paced leisure environment built on service, quality and safety.
The role is based on Yas Island in the United Arab Emirates and offers hands-on cooking and kitchen support under experienced chefs. It’s a fit for someone who enjoys precise preparation, clean working environments, and collaborating with a team to deliver consistent dining experiences for guests of all ages.
In this setting, you’ll bring your practical kitchen knowledge, knife skills and ability to thrive under pressure, along with HACCP-certified food safety know-how and fluency in English. The team prizes attention to detail, adaptability and teamwork, with opportunities to grow within a high-energy leisure facility.
A daily rhythm in the Miral kitchen
Under the guidance of a senior chef, you’ll help prepare, cook and present food, aiming for consistent quality and presentation while following set standards. You’ll measure ingredients, handle large-volume cooking equipment, and keep work areas, surfaces and utensils impeccably clean as you support the overall operation.
You’ll also manage stock at your station, assist with restocking and keep display areas tidy. Daily and weekly routines like temperature checks, proper food labeling and dating, and correct storage form part of your regular duties, and you’ll help identify and address any hazards or equipment issues with the senior team.
What you’ll need to qualify for the role
- Foundational training in hospitality or catering
- A foundation degree in Culinary Arts Management
- Hands-on experience or an apprenticeship in food preparation and kitchen organization
- At least two years of kitchen work experience in a restaurant or hotel
Advice for applicants
Lead your resume with your two years of kitchen experience, plus your HACCP-certified food-safety background and your foundation degree in Culinary Arts Management to show you’re prepared for the standards of Miral Experiences.
When you prove the must-have skills, cite concrete examples: the kinds of dishes you’ve helped prep, the cooking equipment you’ve operated (grills, fryers, griddles), and how you kept a station clean while managing stock and labeling (FEFO) to minimize waste.
In interviews, be ready to discuss how you handle temperature checks, food labeling and dating, and storage routines, plus how you’d respond if a kitchen emergency occurred. Prepare short stories that illustrate your attention to hygiene, quick adaptation and teamwork under pressure.
Ask a practical question that shows you’re thinking about growth within Miral Experiences, such as what pathways exist for kitchen staff to advance, or what on-the-job training programs accompany the role.
