Engelhart is offering a 13-month sandwich placement for a Compliance Analyst Intern in London, hybrid. You will work on daily compliance monitoring, surveillance, policy training and regulatory processes supporting trading and operations in energy markets. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will help streamline workflows, develop KPIs and dashboards, and assist with KYC due diligence and contract governance tools such as LinkSquares. The ideal candidate is a penultimate year student in Business, Economics, Law or related fields with strong attention to detail, Excel proficiency and a collaborative mindset; in your application, highlight relevant coursework, internships or projects, demonstrate a process oriented approach and provide concrete examples of how you improved efficiency or reduced risk.

About the Role
This 13-month sandwich placement offers a penultimate-year undergraduate the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Compliance function of a commodities trading business. The role provides exposure to compliance, regulatory, and legal activities that support trading, commercial, and operational teams across energy and commodity markets.
Reporting into the London-based Compliance Manager for Financial Markets, you will support day-to-day compliance and surveillance activities in a fast-paced, commercial environment. You will gain insight into how internal policies, monitoring frameworks, and escalation processes operate in practice within a trading firm, whilst also supporting selected legal and governance tasks. The role is designed to provide meaningful responsibility, strong analytical and organisational skill development, and practical exposure to compliance and surveillance work within the commodities sector.
Please note that to be eligible for consideration, candidates must be enrolled on a sandwich year degree and available to commence their placement in July 2026.
