Job Description

Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly customer service extraordinaire with a strong knowledge of the World of Melbourne to join our Concierge team as a part-time Concierge Team Leader.

About the Role: 

Reporting to the Chief Concierge, your responsibilities as a Concierge Team Leader include:

  • Lead a shift of Concierge superstars, ensuring our guest experience is at the forefront at all times.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining procedures for the Concierge department and fostering a focus on guest engagement.
  • Assisting with the supervision of the Concierge team including training and development, ensuring the team’s success.
  • Leading by example when attending to guest requests, sharing your knowledge and passion for Melbourne.
  • Provide exceptional service to our guests in every interaction by anticipating their needs, responding to requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Be the "face" of our hotel showing pride with each interaction.
  • Welcome our guests and make them feel special.
  • Assist guests with general enquiries and luggage requests.
  • Valet parking of cars.
  • General Porter duties as required. 

Qualifications

About You:

To be successful in the role you will be: 

  • Personable, proactive with a desire to take initiative and responsibility for the team. 
  • Previous experience in a similar high paced team. 
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • Desire to grow your skills and progress your leadership experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Previous experience with a PMS (Opera Cloud experience will be highly regarded).
  • Strong desire to achieve high results, driven by success. 
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification and First Aid certification (or be willing to obtain).
  • A valid Australian driving license. 
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including overnight, weekends and public holidays.
