This on site role covers formwork setup, correct depth and alignment, spreading and finishing concrete, curing under varying weather, backfill and compaction, sanding and patching, and installing fixtures such as anchor bolts and door sills while ensuring formworks are secure before pours. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of industrial concreting, mining experience a plus, and a White Card. Civmec has been awarded the major civil works package for PDP2 at BHP’s Nelson Point, including delivery of a new Car Dumper 6 (CD6) and associated civil/structural works - vault, tunnel, positioner slabs, substation, dust scrubber, and conveyor interfaces.
