We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Brain Injury Medicine Physician to join our Rehabilitation & Trauma Center. The successful candidate will provide specialized medical management for patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries, develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery, function, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), acquired brain injuries, and related neurological conditions.
• Develop comprehensive medical and rehabilitation management plans based on individual patient needs.
• Provide ongoing evaluation and follow-up care for patients with cognitive, neurological, behavioral, and functional impairments.
• Manage complications associated with brain injuries including seizures, spasticity, pain, cognitive impairment, and neurobehavioral conditions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care involving neurologists, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.
• Participate in acute care transition, rehabilitation planning, and long-term patient recovery programs.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment strategies to improve functional outcomes.
• Provide expert consultation regarding brain injury management and rehabilitation pathways.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and clinical standards.
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement programs, education, and training activities.

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited medical institution.
• Completion of recognized specialist training in Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurorehabilitation, or Brain Injury Medicine.
• UK CCT, American Board Certification, Australian Board Certification, South African Board Certification, or equivalent Western qualification in Brain Injury Medicine, Neurology, Rehabilitation Medicine, or related specialty.
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience managing patients with brain injuries in a rehabilitation center, trauma hospital, university healthcare facility, or tertiary care setting.
• Extensive knowledge of traumatic brain injury management, neurorehabilitation, and multidisciplinary care approaches.
• Experience working with complex neurological rehabilitation cases is preferred.
• Eligible for medical licensing with relevant GCC healthcare authorities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
