Edge is seeking a seasoned Officer, HSE for a full time onsite role in Abu Dhabi. You will maintain safety and environmental management systems across workshops, warehouses, and offices, analyze inspection data to identify noncompliance trends, advise management on integrating HSE into operations, manage the Risk Framework and Risk Register, and develop training for risk assessments, JHAs, and environmental evaluations. The role also covers delivering HSE training and ensuring waste management documentation meets UAE standards, while safeguarding confidential records. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures safety and environmental management systems are systematically maintained and documented across all AL TAIF workshops, warehouses, and office areas.
• Reviews and analyzes inspection data to identify trends in noncompliance and governs the tracking and closure of all reported findings.
• Serves as a primary advisor to management and supervisors on the integration of HSE protocols into administrative and operational workflows.
• Administers the management-approved Risk Framework, maintaining the Risk Register.
• Develops and oversees training programs for risk assessments, JHAs, and environmental impact evaluations to ensure standardized application across the organization.
• Prepares comprehensive performance reports, strategic recommendations, and data summaries for senior leadership review.
• Manages the internal HSE training curriculum, schedules, and records for all AL TAIF employees and contractors.
• Oversees the administrative documentation and manifest systems for waste management to ensure strict compliance with UAE regulations and AL TAIF procedures.
• Maintains the strict confidentiality and security of all sensitive company information and HSE records.
• Provides technical mentorship and administrative support to other members of the HSE team to ensure departmental objectives are fulfilled.
• Perform other duties as required by their line manager and/or department managers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred; in a related field would be an advantage.
• A minimum of five years of experience working in a HSE role is required.
• Exposure to a technical program related to Industrial safety is preferred.
• The capability to monitor and analyse HSE trends is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software and email correspondence is required.
• The ability to learn governmental regulations with regard to HSE subjects and then apply this knowledge in
order to spot safety and environmental deficiencies in the workplace is required.
• An ability to interact with both management and non-management personnel in order to discuss identified
deficiencies is required.
• The ability to work Independently without direct supervision on a day to day basis Is required.
• Experience in developing HSE training materials and delivering presentations to diverse groups is required.
• The ability to work independently without direct supervision and manage multiple administrative projects simultaneously is required
• A good work ethic Is required as this position requires the employee to come to work on time every day.
• An ability to communicate effectively in English, both In writing and verbally is required.
• Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver's license.
