The BI and Data practice, part of the Data, AI & Innovation unit, designs modern decision platforms for sectors such as banking, insurance, industry and services.
The consultant MicroStrategy role is based on-site in SAINT-OUEN-SUR-SEINE, France, and is intended for someone who enjoys shaping business intelligence solutions and partnering with business users to translate needs into concrete dashboards, reports and metrics. The team collaborates with data, BI and business stakeholders to deliver value through decision-support platforms and ongoing platform modernization.
In this position you’ll work on BI and reporting projects, including building and evolving MicroStrategy-driven platforms, producing reports and dashboards, maintaining decision-support solutions and helping users get the most from what the data can offer. You’ll participate in the full lifecycle of decision projects, from gathering requirements and developing solutions to testing, production release and ongoing performance tuning.
Day-to-day rhythm in MicroStrategy projects
Day to day, you’ll design and maintain MicroStrategy objects such as attributes, metrics, filters and prompts, and you’ll build and evolve reports, dashboards and dossiers to meet evolving business needs. You’ll also contribute to the semantic layer and look for ways to accelerate performance, while collecting user requirements and translating them into practical, scalable solutions. Writing functional and technical specifications will be part of your responsibilities, and you’ll ensure your developments meet the team’s quality standards. In addition, you’ll take part in testing, the deployment to production and ongoing maintenance, contributing to the ongoing modernization of the decision platforms and working closely with Data, BI and business teams.
You’ll operate across BI and reporting projects, helping modernize data environments and improve decision-support capabilities. Your work will span design, development, testing, optimization and maintenance, with a focus on delivering reliable, secure and scalable BI solutions that support business users in their day-to-day decisions.
Must-have capabilities for this role
- Strong MicroStrategy proficiency across the semantic layer, reports, dashboards, metrics, filters and security
- Proven ability to design and optimize decision-support reporting
- Solid SQL skills and experience with dimensional modelling for BI solutions
- Experience in large-volume Data Warehouse environments
- Good grasp of performance, security and data governance considerations, plus a track record in migration, modernization or evolution of decision platforms and professional English
Nice-to-have traits to stand out
- Six years in Business Intelligence, with at least three years focused on MicroStrategy
- Experience participating in migration or modernization projects for decision platforms
- Professional English language ability
- Rigor, autonomy and strong organizational skills, plus a service mindset and team spirit
