Bombardier is seeking a contract Flight Control Laws Design, Development and Analysis specialist to join the Fly by Wire Aircraft team onsite in Québec. You will design, develop, test and certify Fly-by-Wire control laws for the Global 7000/8000 and Ecojet BWB experimental aircraft, writing requirements in line with DO-178B and ARP 4754 and performing V&V for a new primary flight computer, with updates to the CLaws model and tools in Matlab and C++. A bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering is required, along with model-based CLaws testing knowledge, DO-178B or newer standards, and proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, MATLAB scripting and C/C++. English fluency, teamwork and independence are essential; commercial aircraft experience and C++ skills are a plus. Apply at careers.bombardier.com.

The CLaws team is responsible for the design, development, testing and certification of the Fly-by-Wire (FBW) flight control laws for the next generation Bombardier aircraft which at present includes the Global 7000/8000 business jet and the Ecojet Blended Wing body (BWB) experimental aircraft. The CLaws provide a means to manage the aircraft response due to pilot inputs, to reduce pilot workload and to meet the handling quality and performance/structural loads requirements along with providing additional flight and structural envelope protections.
Preference will be given to applicants with commercial aircraft experience and additional programming skills such as C++
