Advice for applicants

Lead with your real-time operations experience on your resume, especially any roles that involved dispatch or control-room style decisions and keeping services running under pressure.

Back up the must-have skills with concrete examples, like times you maintained timetable integrity, coordinated with drivers and depots, and tracked operational performance.

Be ready for interview questions that probe how you handle disruptions, incidents and safety escalation, and have a short story ready that shows your decision-making and collaboration.

Ask a smart question about how the control centre works with depots and external partners during disruptions, and what KPIs define success for operations teams.
