This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. There are approximately 380 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 500 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Netherlands, Denmark, Mexico and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.


About the role

The Company is looking to recruit a Corporate Accountant who will be a critical member of the finance function. On offer is exposure to an entrepreneurial and dynamic company with a highly motivated team, who have a great attitude and take ownership of the responsibilities assigned to them.

The position will report to the Senior Corporate Accountant who will provide mentoring and

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations 

The responsibilities below apply to the global business.

  • Manage month-end activities including preparation of journal entries and GL reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and other ad hoc reports. 
  • Prepare schedules for year-end audit and address audit queries.
  • Review vendor invoices.
  • Prepare weekly cashflow report. 
  • Assist in system migration to Oracle.
  • Other ad hoc.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills 

  • Knowledge of accounting principles (AASB/IFRS)
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skils
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems. Experience in Oracle is highly regarded.
