Your work will prioritise performance, scalability and cost efficiency, and you’ll partner with architects, analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to turn requirements into solid technical solutions. A core part of the role is championing data quality, governance and security across the whole data ecosystem, and you’ll mentor other Data Engineers to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. You’ll also contribute to strategic planning for TWG’s data platform and stay ahead of industry trends to identify opportunities to enhance tooling and practices, while helping resolve complex data issues and providing technical leadership when challenges arise.
What it takes to join the data team

Tips to stand out for this opportunity
Lead your resume with a strong summary that highlights more than five years building enterprise-scale data solutions in cloud environments, with a clear emphasis on Snowflake, dbt, Azure, Airflow and Python.
When you describe your must-have skills, tell a story with concrete projects: what problem you tackled, the architecture you designed, the data quality or governance you enabled, and the measurable impact on performance or cost. If you can, mention how you collaborated with stakeholders and mentored teammates to lift the whole team.
Be ready to talk through data architecture decisions in interviews, why you chose a Snowflake-based solution, how you approached modelling and ETL/ELT design, and how you balanced performance, cost and reliability. You may also be asked to explain how you handled governance and security in a data platform, so have examples ready.
A good question to bring to the table: how does TWG prioritise the data platform roadmap, and what opportunities exist to improve data quality and observability across the enterprise?
