Role Summary:

The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for managing last-mile delivery operations for the assigned Business Unit, ensuring timely and efficient distribution of products from Distribution Centers to customers, GMG outlets, and other business accounts. The role oversees delivery teams, fleet operations, route planning, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily last-mile delivery operations, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.

  • Manage drivers and delivery helpers, including scheduling, performance monitoring, attendance, and compliance with company policies.

  • Plan and allocate delivery routes, vehicles, and resources to maximize operational efficiency and service levels.

  • Oversee fleet utilization, vehicle maintenance, documentation, and operational readiness.

  • Investigate and manage delivery incidents, vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and driver-reported issues.

  • Ensure compliance with UAE transportation regulations, food safety requirements, temperature-controlled delivery standards, and relevant permits.

  • Utilize Logistics Management Systems (LMS/TMS) to monitor deliveries, track performance, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate closely with Warehouse, Sales, Customer Service, and Accounts teams to ensure smooth delivery operations and resolve escalations.

  • Monitor delivery KPIs and prepare operational reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Functional & Technical Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of last-mile delivery, fleet management, and route optimization.

  • Good understanding of UAE geography, transportation regulations, and distribution operations.

  • Knowledge of food safety, cold-chain requirements, and permit regulations for food and pharmaceutical products.

  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution operations, including team supervision.

  • Experience in FMCG, food distribution, retail, or pharmaceutical logistics preferred.

  • Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

  • Flexible to support operational requirements beyond regular working hours when required.
