Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Dental Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming team at Lumino Remuera Dental Centre.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional patient experience while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, multitasking, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday : 07:45am to 5:15pm

Key responsibilities include:

• Welcoming patients and creating a positive first impression.
• Managing incoming calls, emails, and patient enquiries.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Processing payments and managing patient accounts.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and data entry.
• Supporting patient recall and follow-up systems.
• Coordinating clinician diaries to maximise appointment utilisation.
• Assisting with general administration and reception duties.
• Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience (dental experience is advantageous).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A warm, professional, and patient-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using computer systems and managing multiple tasks.
• Experience with EXACT dental software is beneficial but not essential.
• The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to support the wider team.
• Valid New Zealand work rights.
