Who we are... At Ecosystem, we believe engineers should be accountable for results. That’s why we've integrated engineering and construction, seeing our projects through from design concept to implementation and commissioning. And that's how we can efficiently solve complex energy and decarbonization challenges in the built environment.    Here are some of the projects we've been working on recently: University of Toronto, Toronto Zoo and San Diego Padres Stadium.
Who you are... You’re a curious, creative, and proactive engineer with a strong understanding of electromechanical systems. You’re passionate about smart energy solutions. As part of a multidisciplinary, innovative team of engineers driven by technical challenges, you want to contribute to the success of multi-million-dollar projects.
What you will do... At Ecosystem, you won’t work on standard projects with off-the-shelf solutions. You’ll take on existing, energy-intensive, and complex buildings, designed at a time when energy was inexpensive. Every mandate is unique and requires critical thinking, creativity, and resourcefulness. You’ll be involved in the development of energy performance projects, from audits to construction through to performance validation. Here, you won’t be handed a manual. We’ll tell you what the building needs to achieve, and you’ll have the freedom, resources, and toolbox to determine how to get there.

Specifically, you’ll:

  • Participate in energy audits, data analysis, and the design of customized solutions
  • Contribute to the development of energy-efficiency measures that address clients’ technical, financial, and environmental challenges
  • Conduct on-site technical surveys and collaborate in the development of concepts, plans, and specifications
  • Manage energy and financial data, support the construction team, and ensure project outcomes are met throughout the project lifecycle
  • Your professional development is an integral part of your role. At Ecosystem, you’re encouraged to learn, experiment, and think outside the box. We value boldness - where others wait for solutions to be proven, we prefer to be among the first to innovate.

Your profile...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics Engineering.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to integrate expertise, intuition, and teamwork to solve complex problems and translate theory into practice.
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills, with the ability to draft reports, present proposals, and engage directly with stakeholders.

What Ecosystem offers...

  • Competitive base salary (approximate range of $75,000 - $95,000 depending on seniority and merit) benchmarked and reviewed annually.
  • Generous paid time off: 15 vacation days, 5 personal days, 10 public holidays, plus a week off to recharge during the end of year holidays.
  • Comprehensive group insurance from day one (health, visual, dental, life insurance, AD&D) plus easy access to health support through Telemedicine and an Employee Assistance Program, with a 60% employer contribution.
  • Employer contribution to a retirement savings plan.
  • Comprehensive internal technical training and a strong network of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) that provide mentorship and accelerate learning. Reimbursement program for external training and access to French and English group courses.
  • People-first culture: we live our values through Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • (DEI), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Innovation, and Social Committees, and celebrate our shared success through company events like Ecofest.

  • Those who change the world don’t stop at recommendations - they make decisions and take action. That’s Ecosystem.
