Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and testing equipment to accurately identify the source of vehicle faults and technical problems.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace vehicle components and systems, including brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust systems, fuel and ignition systems, electrical systems, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform diagnostic checks on modern vehicles using testing equipment connected to the vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
• Assist Technician Mechanics in performing technical activities and resolving complex vehicle-related issues.
• Conduct thorough testing of existing and repaired vehicle systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Identify the extent of work required on vehicles and communicate technical findings and repair requirements clearly to the Service Advisor.
• Identify any additional repairs not specified on the original job card and communicate the findings to the Service Advisor.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs clearly to non-technical employees and customers, when required.
• Liaise with manufacturers and Parts Advisors to support accurate diagnosis, repair, and parts requirements.
• Support quality inspections and road tests to verify vehicle performance and repair quality.
• Assist with the maintenance and proper use of workshop equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Provide technical assistance to other workshop employees when difficulties arise during repair activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work bay in accordance with workshop standards.
• Report technical issues and complex vehicle problems to the Workshop Supervisor or relevant management.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay updated with the latest automotive technologies through formal training and technical learning.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Service Manager or Workshop Manager.

Role Purpose

To inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment and technical expertise, ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently in accordance with Audi and manufacturer standards. The role contributes to high-quality vehicle repairs, customer satisfaction, workshop efficiency, and overall aftersales service excellence.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Minimum of 3–4 years of relevant experience in a Diagnostic Technician or similar automotive technical position.

Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant automotive technical qualification.

Certification(s): Brand Diagnostics Certification is required or preferred.

Languages: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are preferred.

Software Skills: Computer literate with the ability to use automotive diagnostic systems, electronic testing equipment, and standard computer applications.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, ECU systems, electrical and electronic systems, brake and hydraulic systems, suspension and alignment, fuel and ignition systems, exhaust systems, air conditioning, and modern automotive technologies.

Personal Attributes: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication, ability to work collaboratively, willingness to continuously learn, and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
