Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) for its Albany, Georgia clinic. This nonprofit provider puts the patient at the center of care, with a mission focused on individualized treatment and meaningful patient relationships. The team offers paid training, solid pay, comprehensive benefits, Sundays off, and a supportive culture. If you value hands-on nursing in a community-focused setting, you may be a good fit.

In this onsite role, you’ll work as part of a patient-care team within an in-center hemodialysis unit, playing a key part in delivering safe care and achieving strong patient outcomes. The job suits someone who enjoys direct patient contact, teaching patients, and coordinating care with physicians and families.

Albany’s clinic operates with a focus on accessible, person-centered kidney care. The position is four 10-hour shifts that start around 5am, with Sundays off and no overnight duty, giving you predictable hours and a clear routine.

Steady rounds in the dialysis unit

Day to day, you’ll set up dialysis machines, alarms, and supplies, making sure everything meets quality standards before treatment begins. You’ll conduct hemodialysis sessions in line with facility policies, while actively educating patients and coaching them on their health. Throughout treatments, you’ll monitor responses, discuss any changes with the physician and families, and keep careful notes on prescribed medications and education efforts. Infection control is a constant priority, guided by CDC and CMS regulations, and you’ll participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews to ensure continuity of care with local hospitals and other care teams. You’ll also help manage medication inventory, contribute to onboarding new staff, and may step into a lead role for a small patient-care team, depending on the needs of the unit.

What you’ll bring to the unit

Here’s what the team is looking for in a candidate, starting with the essentials:

  • Active RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited program
  • Excellent communication skills that guide patients, families, and peers
  • A track record of clinical excellence and safe practice
  • A natural tendency to collaborate with care teams and respond to problems

Nice-to-have capabilities and contextual supports include the following. Dialysis experience isn’t required, and job shadow opportunities are available to help you ramp up. The company also offers three months of comprehensive training, including both classroom sessions and one-on-one skills coaching, and new graduates are invited to apply.

  • Dialysis experience is not required, with opportunities to shadow a clinician during onboarding
  • Recent graduates are welcome to apply
  • The organization provides a three-month training program combining group learning and hands-on coaching

Pay, benefits and the practical side

Compensation starts at $32 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience, with the exact rate determined by your background. The schedule features four 10-hour shifts beginning at 5am, Sundays off, and no overnight work. Benefits include a paid 12-week training period with a preceptor, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and long-term disability insurance at no extra cost to you, paid time off including holidays, an Extended Sick Bank for doctor visits or medical leave in addition to PTO, a retirement plan with fifty cents of each contributed dollar matched up to eight percent, education reimbursement, an employee assistance program, a wellness program, and other benefits.

Advice for applicants

Lead with your nursing credential and your readiness to train in dialysis. Put the accredited degree and current RN license at the top of your resume so the hiring team sees your qualifications right away, and mention your ability to work within a team to deliver patient-centered care.

Demonstrate the must-have skills with concrete examples. Show clear communication with patients, families and the care team, a history of clinical excellence in your practice, and a frame for collaborating with others to solve problems. If you have led a small team or trained a peer, share a short story that highlights your leadership in a clinical setting.

Prepare to speak about infection control and patient monitoring. You’ll likely be asked how you preserve patient safety under CDC/CMS guidelines, how you educate patients during treatment, and how you coordinate with physicians and local hospitals to maintain continuity of care.

Ask a purposeful question that connects to the specifics of the Albany clinic and the training program. For example, inquire about how the clinic structures the three-month onboarding and what opportunities exist to take on leadership within a small patient-care team as you grow in the role.
