BNZ Markets has a strong and growing business in New Zealand. We provide our BNZ business customers with risk management products and services including foreign exchange and interest rate risk management, pricing and transacting deposits and fixed interest securities. No matter how simple or complex their needs, we provide guidance, competitive pricing and efficient execution of financial markets transactions.
We sat down with the Head of Institutional Sales (who you'd report to), and he let us know the following about the role:
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
The Director Financial Markets Sales will be expected to be involved in decisions assessing the risk management needs of our Institutional clients and developing solutions to improve BNZ’s penetration of Markets products to these clients. The position will contribute to the wider BNZ Markets Sales teams business through mentoring, training, assisting with solutions development, and collaborating with other relevant teams in the BNZ Markets business.
What are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?
Achieve financial and business targets of the Institutional Solutions business including developing and executing strategies for maintenance and growth of client & revenue base. Major focus on development, implementation, and execution of the Institutional Solutions business strategy for BNZ.
Achieve financial and operational targets for products and customer related targets.
Participate in analysing opportunities, conducting product and account planning for key customers in setting out product objectives and strategies designed to increase revenue.
Contribute to and support the growth of the wider franchise (i.e. increase total customer base and revenue) (includes both BNZ Markets and the NAB Global business).
Contribute to the development and growth of people within BNZ Markets and NAB Global teams ensuring performance, reward and behaviour expectations are clarified and embedded.

NZFMA Dealer Accreditation or be able to acquire this within 6 months of joining.
