Building Services Leadership Opportunity – Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton or Christchurch

We are looking for a people leader who can drive local client engagement, grow business development, and champion technical excellence, in addition to contributing to and helping to shape national strategy for the Building Services team.

You’ll be a proven leader, and a role model for delivery of complex projects in Building Services in New Zealand. You will be future focussed and agile.

The Role:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Building Services group while embedding a National sector view, promoting visibility and leadership for both clients and people.
  • Drive and achieve exceptional outcomes for our clients and stakeholders, maximising commercial and project outcomes
  • Lead an inspiring performance culture and coach your people with strong performance and talent management practices to deliver to their potential.
  • Take a leading role in the delivery of key or strategic projects in Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • Lead design on projects and programmes of work through day-to-day design guidance, verification and review, providing robust and future ready solutions that meet client and community needs.
  • Project directorship and technical leadership.
  • Leading engagement with clients and stakeholders on building services projects, including supporting relationship management.
  • Scoping projects and programmes.
  • Provide commercial leadership and market knowledge with experience of contracts, risk, variations, cash management and sub-consultancy arrangements.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification
  • CPEng or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 years professional experience in Building Services
  • 7-10 years experience in a senior people or project leadership role.
  • Extensive experience developing and implementing business plans.
  • Extensive senior project management experience with a strong commercial focus and risk management framework
  • Proven experience of developing effective relationships with clients and developing client pipelines and prospects across the industry/sector.
