Tips to help you stand out

Lead your resume with a line about your latest leadership role in a hotel, resort, or premium property where you steered a shift, worked with department heads, and helped deliver guest satisfaction on a busy day.

When you describe your must-have skills, reference a specific incident where you engaged a guest, diagnosed the issue, and resolved it while preserving the guest's trust, ideally under pressure.

Be ready to talk about how you manage shift records, communicate operational needs across teams, and keep safety and policies front and center. Have a concise story ready about a time you upheld safety procedures during a guest interaction.

Ask a thoughtful question about how the property measures guest satisfaction during shifts and how the Duty Manager collaborates with Department Heads to deliver The Elysium Way in daily operations.
