Qantas is recruiting a Duty Planner Engineering for a permanent full-time, onsite role in Mascot with a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule. You will support airworthiness, operational stability and on-time performance for the Dash-8 and A220 fleets, oversee end-to-end maintenance planning and aircraft allocations, and communicate airworthiness decisions across CAMO, ROCC, AMOs and other stakeholders. The successful candidate may have an aircraft trade qualification or technical degree, with strong ability to interpret maintenance requirements and documentation, and proven experience with Trax Maintenance System and its Planning module, Amadeus COMPASS, plus solid MS Office and data analysis skills. As part of QantasLink Engineering, the Duty Planner Engineering plays a vital role in ensuring the Dash‑8 and A220 fleet remains safe, compliant and efficient across the network. This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance planning or CAMO professional to work at the centre of our operations, combining technical decision‑making, operational oversight and cross‑functional coordination.
You’ll help ensure no aircraft flies with outstanding maintenance requirements while supporting optimal routing, planning stability and maximum fleet availability. In this 12‑hour 4‑on/4‑off shift role, you’ll oversee end‑to‑end maintenance requirements and aircraft allocations, using Trax and COMPASS to monitor due times, build and adjust work packs, route aircraft to maintenance facilities and communicate airworthiness decisions across CAMO, ROCC, AMOs and other stakeholders.
