HEINEKEN's DB Breweries is seeking a 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Apprentice for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term role onsite in Auckland. You'll join a maintenance team in a large brewery, learning hands-on electrical maintenance under a mentor, keeping packaging equipment safe and reliable, assisting during breakdowns, and supporting improvement to reduce downtime. You should be working toward NZCE or Advanced Trade Certificate with electrical focus, bring solid troubleshooting, basic machine knowledge, and a willingness to learn safety procedures and reporting tasks. About the Role

We’re looking for a 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Apprentice who is keen to grow, learn and build real hands‑on experience inside a large‑scale brewery environment.

You’ll work alongside an experienced mentor who will teach you the skills needed to complete your apprenticeship. You’ll help keep our packaging equipment running safely and reliably, learning new skills every day as part of our maintenance team.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping with maintenance and simple repair tasks on machines
  • Assisting during breakdowns and learning how to fix issues safely
  • Working with operators and technicians to keep equipment running smoothly
  • Learning how to use tools, follow safety procedures and understand our equipment
  • Supporting improvement activities to reduce downtime
  • Collecting basic maintenance information and helping with simple reporting tasks
  • Working with planners and technicians to complete scheduled jobs

What You’ll Bring

  • Working towards an NZCE/Advanced Trade Certificate (Electrical preferred)
  • Good troubleshooting skills and basic machine knowledge
  • Keen to learn and gain more experience in maintenance and improvement activities
  • Able to support simple problem‑solving tasks
  • Basic understanding of maintenance engineering or inventory/supply processes
