Stantec’s Mission Critical Facilities Electrical Engineer role in Calgary is a full-time onsite opportunity to contribute to data center design within a sustainability driven practice. You’ll support a Project Engineer, develop basic system designs, coordinate with all disciplines, guide designers, review deliverables for QA, assist with shop drawings, RFIs, site observations, and punch lists, and help manage budgets and utilization. The ideal candidate has an accredited engineering degree, 3+ years’ experience (data center experience a plus), and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud, with SKM or CYME/CYMCAP knowledge preferred; PE/FE/EIT is desirable. The MCF (Mission Critical Facilities) Engineer performs technical duties under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer. Understands and identifies project requirements and performs independent technical work within one’s own discipline. Provides guidance to Designers on completion of duties. The data center industry is continually evolving, and this is an ideal opportunity for candidates who enjoy working on technically challenging projects that require cutting edge designs. Aside from the preferred locations listed, this position is open to any location with a Stantec office presence, for the right candidate.
