On the Sunshine Coast the Australian Trade Training College seeks an engaging Electrical Trainer and Assessor to deliver Certificate II and III in Electrical and post-trade competencies in classroom and simulated environments. You will mentor apprentices, build strong relationships with students and employers, and contribute to continuous program improvement while monitoring training plans to keep progress on track. The ideal candidate brings hands-on electrical experience, is qualified in TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent), and can adapt materials for diverse learning styles with solid computer skills. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Training and assessing the Certificate II and III in Electrical, post trade competencies and skill sets in the classroom and simulated work environment
  • Develop effective working relationships with students and employers whilst mentoring and training
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of RTO programs
  • Monitor apprentice training plans and ensure timely progression of our students through their courses
  • Delivering engaging, hands-on training and assessment in a supportive environment

What You Will Bring

  • Hands-on industry experience in all aspects of electrical work
  • Qualified in TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • Passion for mentoring and helping others succeed - inspire and support students throughout their learning
  • Strong communication and people-focused skills - able to engage students of all backgrounds
  • Adaptability — able to modify training materials to suit different learning styles
  • Reasonable level of computer skills
