Australian Trade Training College is seeking an Electrical Mentor on the Sunshine Coast for full-time onsite work with a clear path to becoming a Trainer, paid while you complete the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. You will guide students to milestones, assist with practicals, keep the training area safe and equipment in good order, and support the Trainer with student management. To succeed you need an electrical trade qualification, the ability to engage learners, and solid communication and computer skills. The college offers development, generous leave, and bonuses; you must be eligible to work in Australia and obtain a Blue Card and National Police background checks.

Electrical Mentor

In this role you'll be supported to work alongside a qualified Trade Trainer and assist with the delivery of high-quality training.

This is a role with a direct career path to equip you to become a fully qualified Trainer with the completion of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment while being paid as a full time Mentor. 

Key accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Guide students to achieve training milestones and goals
• Assist students with practical activities
• Maintain the training area - clean, tidy and safe
• Ensure all equipment is in good operational condition
• Assist Trainer with Student management

Skills you need to be successful:

• Trade qualification in the Electrical industry
• Ability to engage, inspire and support students throughout their learning
• Desire to complete the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Good written and verbal communication
• Basic level of computer operating skills
