Job Description

(Community name) is a beautiful and relaxed community nestled in (location) that caters to the individual and independent lifestyle of (XX) older New Zealanders. Our Emergency Response Attendants play an important role in our community, being on-site with our residents to attend to any emergency situations that may arise (and escalate as necessary), and to ensure the ongoing safety and wellbeing of all our residents.

We have a strong focus on supporting older New Zealanders to live well in all aspects of daily life and you will support these initiatives through your day-to-day interactions with our residents.

This is a permanent part-time position, working two to three shifts per week, including weekend and evening / sleepover shifts. There is also an opportunity to cover leave and sick days. 

    Qualifications

    • Enjoyment in interacting with older people and participating in meaningful work 
    • Commitment to a high standard of performance with diligence and care
    • Ability to work within a team where we respect our residents and our team members
    • Great verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to report and document accurately
    • Honesty, integrity, high energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm
    • Good customer service, organisation, and problem-solving skills
    • Availability to work rostered shifts including weekends and nights
    • Background in care or clinical settings is advantageous but not essential
    • Current first aid certificate
