Contact Energy is hiring a 6-month Energy Analyst to join the Market Strategy & Portfolio team in Wellington, though applications from across Aotearoa are welcome, to shape short to mid-term energy strategies, support real-time trading and fuel management, and help optimise the wider portfolio. You’ll develop short-term electricity and gas plans, provide real-time guidance during dynamic events, assist mid-term portfolio optimisation from reservoir management to broader decisions, and handle gas nominations. The role hinges on turning data into clear insights and decisions, so a relevant tertiary qualification, experience turning data into actionable recommendations, and a collaborative mindset are essential. Nice to have energy market experience and Python or Excel. There is an on-call rotation one week in every four. Applications close on Friday 3 July, so apply early.
