JOB SUMMARY:
The Engineer, Fuel Budget, Forecasting, & Hydro Optimization is accountable to research, develop and implement tasks, methodologies, and practices for the corporation. As a member of SaskPower’s management team, this position is responsible for projecting water flow and reservoir management, assisting with and/or preparing technical studies, models, business cases, specifications, and forecasts. This position will develop hydrological projections, ensuring alignment with departmental and corporate strategic goals and objectives.
This position plays a key role in ensuring the optimal operation of SaskPower’s hydroelectric generation facilities. As a member of the Fuel & Energy Management team, the role will also contribute to the adherence of regulatory and environmental constraints and requirements in hydro operations
