Job Description

Synopsis:

The Engineering Officer - Aircraft Data and Digital Operations is responsible maintain the Etihad Airways continued airworthiness standards and processes of the Electronic Technical Log systems. In addition, the officer is responsible to ensure the compliance with the respective regulations related to Aircraft Technical Log, CAR M 306 as well as the Aircraft Continuing Airworthiness records CAR M 307.

Accountabilities:

  • Monitor the correct operation of the Etihad Airways Electronic Technical Log process in accordance with the requirements stipulated in applicable technical procedures.
  • Manage the e-Technical Log platform compliance in respect of System Platform administration and configuration changes – eCentral 8 platform and e-Techlog device.
  • Monitor the data errors in the e-Techlog system and the associated audit reports.
  • Control user access and organizations definition in the e-Techlog device and its platform
  • Ensure the Aircraft Airworthiness records, for the Technical Log, are maintained in accordance with GCAA CAR M regulations.
  • Provide the Electronic Technical log trainings to the respective business areas.
  • Ensure and maintain any operational digital solutions adopted by the section, including but not limited to the reporting and managing the aircraft technical log system.
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with the obligations stipulated in CAR M regulations, CAR X (SMS) and any other applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Support the Etihad Airways Safety and Quality and the GCAA Auditing Program and safety investigations and ensures its effectiveness.
  • Promote and maintain the Etihad airways safety culture as per the UAE GCAA Safety Management System CAR X – Include the Hazards and Risk Management within the Department

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in the area of Engineering. Alternatively, holder of an aircraft license Engineer.
  • Job experience of 2 year in a Continued Airworthiness Management Organization, particularly with knowledge of the electronic aircraft technical log system.
  • Good Knowledge in CAR M regulations and requirements
  • Good and adequate Knowledge on the CAR 145 and CAR AIR OPS regulations and its requirements
