Main goal

UEFA EURO 2028 will take place in the UK and Ireland, and we are looking for dedicated professionals to help deliver this major event.

As one of two Cluster Technical Services & Overlay Managers, the role translates centrally led TECH sub-projects into tailored solutions for nine host stadiums, oversees technical implementation, and ensures a smooth handover to Venue Technical Managers ahead of and during the tournament.

The role also supports other UEFA competitions (e.g. Nations League Finals, UEFA Women’s EURO) and is primarily based in Nyon, with temporary assignments at tournament venues as required.

Key responsibilities

  • Acting as a link between UEFA EURO 2028 projects in Nyon, the local organisation structure and the respective cluster venues
  • Liaising with the technical services and overlay suppliers and ensuring that the sub-projects are supplied with the services required, such as those relating to broadcasting and venue power, media tribune overlay, sound systems, venue TV services, containers, temperature control systems, tent structures, camera and presentation platforms, temporary pitch-view studios, cable bridges, water and wastewater systems, health and safety, technical approval, media services and infrastructural adaptions required in the venues
  • Ensuring the establishment of a local Venue TECH team to plan and implement tournament operations in an open-minded, flexible and service-oriented manner
  • Conducting detailed technical surveys of stadiums to document existing technical infrastructure
  • Establishing an appropriate operation and reporting structure and effective workflow processes for the cluster
  • Ensuring that technical services and overlay sub-projects are implemented in accordance with agreed milestones and service levels
  • Ensuring compliance with general administrative, reporting, knowledge-management and debriefing processes

Requirements

Experience:

  • More than 6 years of experience working in event production
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in cooperate, industrial or sports events

Languages:

  • English / proficient

Other requirements:

  • CAD (Auto CAD) / basic skills
  • MS Office / Advanced
  • Project Management / Advanced
  • Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected
