Main goal

As a key member of the Venue Logistics (VLOG) team, the Venue Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination and readiness of logistics services for the men’s EURO, and the planning, coordination and on-site delivery of one or more UEFA club competition finals each season. Across both event types, the role supports a broad range of operational services, including office and furniture planning and set-up, internal fencing, cleaning services, office supplies, staff break stations, staff transport, and other staff-service functions.

Key responsibilities

EURO 2028

Support the planning and implementation of venue logistics services across the nine venues and the IBC, including:

Cleaning project

  • Assess cleaning requirements across UEFA project teams
  • Coordinate with stadium cleaning providers to define service levels, schedules and budgets

Recruitment

  • Support the remote recruitment and onboarding of on-site Venue Logistics teams
  • Assist with workforce planning, resourcing and deployment

Operational preparation and training

  • Develop training materials and operational guidance for VLM tasks
  • Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing support to on-site VLMs

Staff break stations and water

  • Identify suitable locations for staff break stations at match venues and the IBC
  • Procure associated equipment and consumables (value-in-kind and purchased items)

Other responsibilities

  • Office layout planning, venue credit card and expenditure management, accreditation and SAD requirements, catering, parking and transport operations at the IBC, the back-of-house furniture project, and post-event reporting and debriefs

Please note the successful candidate will not go on-site for UEFA EURO28.

Club Competition and Nations League finals

Lead venue logistics operations for assigned UEFA finals, overseeing delivery from initial planning through to on-site implementation.

Back-of-house furniture project

  • Lead furniture planning and delivery by coordinating requirements with UEFA stakeholders, stadium representatives and suppliers, and overseeing installation and dismantling activities

Fencing project

  • Lead the coordination of internal fencing requirements, ensuring all needs are captured and delivered by the Local Organising Structure (LOS)

Office management

  • Manage on-site office operations, including supplies, break stations and meeting room coordination

Other responsibilities

  • Manage event budgets and venue credit card expenditure, procure last-minute operational items, coordinate on-site volunteers, and contribute to event reporting and debriefs

The role requires on-site attendance at one to two UEFA finals per season (approximately two weeks per event).

Requirements

Experience:

  • from 1 to 3 years of experience in event coordination, including pre-event planning and on-site operational delivery, ideally within a multicultural environment
  • previous experience in sporting events would be an advantage, as would experience of working with databases and with volunteers

Education:

  • Bachelor's in international business, event management or sports management would be an advantage

Languages:

  • English/ proficient

Other requirements:

  • Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected
  • Strong team player with a genuine enjoyment of working collaboratively.
  • Able to adapt to varying workload demands, from intensive event preparation phases to quieter planning periods.
  • Proficiency in an additional European language is an advantage.
  • The role includes travel and short periods of work in countries outside Switzerland.
  • Beneficial previous experience, including: Working with databases, Working with volunteers
