Are you conscientious, reliable, and looking for a role supporting the vital examination process within an academy?

Join us as an Exam Invigilator, where you will work as part of a team supervising pupils undertaking school and external examinations. The overall purpose of this post is to ensure all examinations are conducted in strict accordance with legal and school requirements.

We are seeking to appoint Exam Invigilators with the drive to contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, and mutual support within the school.  Promoting equality within and values the diversity of the school community is essential to our ethos.  This role is essential to the smooth running of the examination process.  In addition to ensuring correct exam procedures are followed, you will be responsible for setting out and collecting exam papers and materials, admitting students to the exam hall / room and invigilating. Duties may also include reading and scribing for students.

Required to start as soon as possible, the successful candidate needs to be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise workload, ensure strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative, be a role model to others and work within a team environment is key.

This role requires individuals who are flexible and adaptable , with proven self-confidence and the ability to work on their own initiative

Be crucial to maintaining the integrity of our examinations. You'll work as part of a team, supervising pupils and ensuring strict adherence to all legal and school regulations. Key duties include preparing the exam room , admitting and quietly seating candidates , and managing the distribution and collection of exam papers. 

You will maintain efficient timekeeping , deal calmly with minor behaviour issues , and be prepared to escort candidates in an emergency. Your vigilance ensures a fair and compliant environment for all students.

We are seeking reliable, conscientious, and flexible individuals with a good standard of education. While prior school experience is welcome, it's not essential. You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills , a calm and self-confident demeanour , and be able to work effectively on your own initiative. Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality/data protection is required , along with the ability to maintain good organisational standards.
