Deloitte is hiring in Calgary for a permanent, hybrid Executive Assistant within its Central Business Services team. The role sits at the heart of the firm’s support for leaders and initiatives, and it comes with a reference code of 135070. The position is primarily based in Calgary, with the wider Central Business Services group serving offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg. Deloitte describes itself as the largest 100% Canadian-owned and operated professional services firm in the country, focused on helping people, organizations and communities thrive.

This opportunity suits someone who enjoys cleanly organized schedules, thoughtful interactions with clients, and a collaborative, service-minded environment. If you’re energized by keeping calendars tidy, coordinating complex travel, and drafting communications with diplomacy, you could fit well in this role.

Beyond the daily duties, Deloitte emphasises flexible benefits and ongoing development as part of a people-first culture. The firm is committed to inclusion and community impact, and it highlights mentoring and on-the-job coaching as ways to grow. With offices across Canada and a broad client base, this is a chance to build a broad network while contributing to meaningful work.

The days you’ll steer the calendar and travel

The firm’s hybrid model aims to balance flexibility with the needs of a client-driven environment, and this role does require in-person work from the Calgary office at times. You’ll shape and maintain executives’ calendars, spotting conflicts before they arise and keeping plans on track. You’ll coordinate complex travel, domestic and international, including visas and security steps, and you’ll manage inbox activity by triaging time-sensitive emails and approvals. Time and expense reporting will be part of your day, along with arranging meetings both online and in person and providing end-to-end logistical support for staff and client activities, including on-site participation. In this role you’ll draft, edit and distribute communications and work closely with peers to keep initiatives moving forward.

What you’ll bring to the role

The team is looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a combination of experience and personal attributes that align with the role’s demands. The must-have skills and experience include:

  • One to five years of executive support experience in a service-focused, fast-moving setting or equivalent transferable capabilities
  • A dedication to client service excellence, a strong eye for detail, and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement
  • Proactivity, a solutions orientation, and the ability to troubleshoot with a strategic mindset
  • Ability to collaborate well and build solid working relationships
  • Adaptability in the face of rapid changes and shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and a quick learner of new tools
  • Professional, diplomatic communication in English

What the rewards look like

The salary range for this role is 47,000 CAD to 78,000 CAD per year, with eligibility for a bonus program.

The Total Rewards Package goes beyond base pay and is designed to acknowledge contributions, support well-being and help the business grow. In addition to the base salary and potential bonuses, the firm points to mental health support benefits of 4,000 CAD per year, a 1,300 CAD flexible spending account, Deloitte Days, Development and Innovation Days, and flexible work arrangements within a hybrid structure. Deloitte notes its commitment to flexible working and to providing a range of programs that support personal wellness and professional development.

Where Deloitte sets itself apart is its approach to people and inclusivity. The firm acknowledges Indigenous communities and the traditional lands on which its offices sit, and it provides channels for accommodations in the recruitment process, including accessible-careers contacts and Indigenous-careers resources. Detailed information about accessibility and reconciliation actions is included in the posting, alongside an assurance that recruitment uses standards designed to balance privacy with responsible screening.

Tips for applicants to stand out

Lead your resume with your executive support experience, especially if you have 1 to 5 years in a customer-service-driven, fast-paced setting. Highlight calendar management, travel logistics (including visa coordination), inbox oversight, and time and expense management up front so the hiring team sees your relevant strength first.

When you describe your must-have skills, provide concrete examples that prove you’re client-service oriented, detail-focused, and proactive. Talk about times you built relationships across teams, solved scheduling or travel snags, and helped a leader stay ahead of competing priorities.

Prepare for interviews by walking through real moments when you managed a high-stakes schedule, coordinated international travel, or handled confidential communications with diplomacy. Have a clear story about how you navigate rapid change and still deliver polished outcomes for clients and partners.

End with a thoughtful question about the team’s structure and collaboration. For example, ask how the Executive Support Services team partners with Partners and how the buddy system works to support day-to-day operations and cross-team projects.
