Day-to-Day Trading At Maverick Derivatives Amsterdam

You’ll manage your own trading book and aim to generate profits through volatility trading, combining position-taking with market-making when appropriate. You’ll design and implement new trading ideas, lead relevant projects, and work with fellow traders to share insights that drive informed, data-backed decisions. Staying ahead of market changes, regulatory developments, and industry shifts is part of the role, and you’ll analyse market data to uncover trends and opportunities that translate into actionable trades. The work blends independent judgment with collaboration, so you’ll communicate clearly and help steer the desk toward disciplined risk-taking and solid results.

Ideal Fit For The Experienced Trader

• 5+ years of experience in a trading role in Crypto Options, U.S. Equity Options or Delta One trading
• A proven track record of generating profitable trades
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to make fast, confident decisions under pressure
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a competitive drive and attention to detail
• Clear communicator with a collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills

• Experience in Python programming for automation and data analysis purposes
• Familiarity with TimescaleDB, PostgreSQL, SQL
